Announcing Draft Plan Bay Area Release, Spring 2013 Meetings and Public Outreach
The Association of Bay Area Governments (ABAG) and the Metropolitan Transportation Commission (MTC) released the Draft Plan Bay Area. This starts the public comment period for the long-range plan that looks forward to the year 2040. A companion Draft Environmental Impact Report (EIR) was released on April 2, 2013.
Announcing Plan Bay Area Spring 2013 Meetings and Public Outreach
The Association of Bay Area Governments (ABAG) and the Metropolitan Transportation Commission (MTC) will release the Draft Plan Bay Area on March 22, 2013. This starts the public comment period for the long-range plan that looks forward to the year 2040. A companion Draft Environmental Impact Report (EIR) will be released a week later on March 29, 2013.

Plan Bay Area Moves Forward with Vote on Five Alternative Strategies for Environmental Impact Report
At a joint meeting of the Metropolitan Transportation Commission (MTC) and the Association of Bay Area Governments (ABAG) Executive Board, officials voted on Thursday, July 19 to approve five alternative transportation and land use strategies to be considered as part of the environmental review process for the region’s long-range transportation and land use plan.

MTC and ABAG need your help as we begin work on the Draft Environmental Impact Report (EIR) for Plan Bay Area. The EIR is a legally required document that will assess the environmental impacts of the proposed land-use changes and transportation investments in the long-range plan. What environmental issues should be analyzed? Are there alternatives that should be evaluated?
